The second international edition of Alcova is set to unfold at Miami’s historic River Inn, the city’s oldest hotel, nestled in the vibrant South River Drive Historic District in East Little Havana, just steps from the Miami River. Riding the wave of its successful debut in Miami, Alcova remains committed to transforming remarkable, historically rich spaces into dynamic platforms for cutting-edge contemporary design.
Alongside the historic residences of Villa Borsani and Villa Bagatti Valsecchi — activated in 2024 and once againthis year — Alcova introduced two new locations: the former SNIA factory and the Pasino Glasshouses, both rawand layered spaces where nature has begun reclaiming its territory. These four distinct venues, each with itsown atmosphere, guided visitors through an eclectic journey, showcasing the work of established andemerging designers through site-specific installations and curated exhibitions that resonate with their surroundings.
Alcova returned to Varedo for its ninth edition, reaffirming Milan’s identity as a designcapital in constant growth, expansion, and transformation. With its fifth edition, Alcova continued its exploration of the city of Milan with an exciting new location – the former Porta Vittoria abattoir on Via Molise.
On the occasion of Miami Art Week 2023, Alcova announced its first overseas edition, set in the Gold Dust Motel, one of the architectural icons of Miami's modernist period.
Alcova brought back to life its beautiful Inganni location, where design merges with nature, expanding its search for unique places even further and opening the doors to a new section never before accessible to the public.
